I thank you for your support and vote electing me in 2010 and re-electing me in 2014 to the busiest court in Harris County. Encompassing over 400 square miles, Precint 5 is home to over 1 million residents and businesses. Over 110,000 new cases were filed there last year (almost 10,000 per month!) and over $9,500,000 in fines and fees were collected. This is major and very busy court with 40 employees; this is no place for beginners to learn on the job!
I am again seeking your continued help and vote for re-election to the position of Justice of the Peace in Precinct 5, Place 2, starting with the March 2018 primary. You will again have the the opportunity to choose your Judge for the next four years to a court that deals with issues that can impact your every day life. Traffic tickets, juvenile crimes, school disruptions, civil and criminal bench and jury trials, evictions, magistration of prisoners, search warrants, property seizure hearings, dangerous dog determinations, Occupational Drivers License hearings and weddings are all handled here. It's a busy place with a lot to know!
I'm a life-long conservative Republican, who practiced law in Houston for nearly 30 years before closing my law office to serve as your Justice of the Peace. I will continue to render competent, honest, fair and ethical justice, as well as enforce the sound stewardship that your tax dollars deserve.
Judge Jeff Williams
Harris County Justice of the Peace
Precinct 5, Place 2
